What is guided meditation?

It is a type of meditation that is led by an instructor through a variety of exercises such as visualisation, breathing and body scan meditation.

What do I wear during meditation class?

​Please ensure to wear something comfortable, e.g. t-shirts and linen trousers and nothing too tight to ensure you are comfortable. In the winter you may find it helpful to bring along a jumper and some warm socks to wear.

Do I have to sit in the Lotus position for 45 minutes?

No, you can also sit in a different position or sit in a chair as well. It is recommended that beginners do not lie down as they might doze off.

Is there any physical exercise involved, such as yoga?
No, the class/course focuses on meditation alone.

​

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, please use our booking system to book your place.

​

Do I need to have experience of meditation to attend a weekly class?
No, everyone is welcome, including beginners.
